Recruiting Families for a study

Date:March 27, 2012
Time:07:00 PM

Study on the audiovisual speech perceptions of children with autism.  This is an NIH funded study at the Child Language Studies at Haskins Labs, which is affiliated with both Yale University and the University of CT.  The goal of the study is to determine if children with ASD process and perceive audiovisual speech differently than their typical peers.  We hope that by understanding how children with ASD use a speaker's face to process speech information, we can help in the development of appropriate interventions for using and understanding speech as effectively as possible.  Looking for 7-10 year olds who are willing to visit the lab in New Haven.  Inquiries and more information, contact the Child Language Studies Lab at 203-865-6163 x 337 or e-mail ListeningtoFaces@haskins.yale.edu.
