One of our missions here at ASCONN is to help families learn to navigate the world of autism in Connecticut. We are here to help you learn about special education, social security, estate planning, education, adult services, employment, transition planning – whatever you need to know.
This year we have teamed up with the CT Autism Spectrum Resource Center to help provide additional advocacy trainings across Connecticut. For a number of years, ASRC has provided a parent advocacy training program at their offices in Wallingford. This year, with help from the Center of Excellent on Autism and us here at ASCONN, we are bringing this great program to the NORTHWEST CORNER. That’s right, to the corner! Northwest CT Community College in Winsted is providing the space and we will start our program on Wednesday, March 2. The series runs 10 consecutive weeks from March 2 through May 11 from 9:30 a.m. – 12:30. Contact ASRC at 203-265-7717 for information and registration or go to our website at www.asconn.org and download the registration materials.
